Chrome Extension

Access Suger directly in Chrome with an AI-powered side panel for cloud marketplace operations.

Overview

The Suger Chrome Extension adds a side panel inside Chrome so your team can work with Suger without leaving the page you are viewing.

It is designed for marketplace and partner operations workflows across:

  • AWS Marketplace
  • Microsoft Azure Marketplace
  • Google Cloud Marketplace
  • Suger Console

The extension can read page context from supported surfaces, open a contextual AI chat, surface notifications, and support browser-assisted workflows when a user explicitly authorizes them.

Key Features

  • AI side panel. Open Suger in Chrome’s side panel while you browse marketplace and console pages.
  • Context-aware assistance. Use the current page context to ask questions and get more relevant responses.
  • Marketplace page extraction. Detect and extract structured information from supported AWS, Azure, GCP, and Suger pages.
  • Notifications and live updates. Receive in-extension updates for supported workflows.
  • Browser-assisted actions. Support guided automation flows with user review and confirmation.
  • Screenshot and browser context support. Share visual context with the assistant when needed.

Install the Extension

  1. Open the Suger Chrome Extension listing in the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome.
  3. Confirm the installation in Chrome.
  4. Open the extension from the Chrome toolbar or pinned extensions menu.
  5. Sign in with your Suger account if prompted.

Login and Organization Access

The Chrome extension uses the same Suger account as the Suger web console.

  • If you already use the Suger web console, sign in with the same email address and authentication method.
  • Your extension access follows the same user and organization access you already have in Suger.
  • If your account belongs to multiple Suger organizations, you can select the organization you want to work in from the extension.

After login, confirm that the selected organization in the extension matches the organization you want to use for the current workflow. This is especially important if you manage multiple marketplace environments, business units, or client organizations.

Login Screen

When you open the extension for the first time, the side panel may prompt you to sign in.

Use the same credentials you use for the Suger web console. After authentication completes, the extension returns to the side panel and loads your Suger session.

If you are already signed in to Suger in the browser, the sign-in flow may complete with minimal additional steps.

Organization Switcher

If your user account has access to more than one Suger organization, the extension lets you choose which organization is active.

Use the organization switcher to:

  • move between production, staging, or test organizations
  • switch between business units or regions
  • access different customer or internal operating environments

Before running any workflow or relying on extension context, verify that the currently selected organization is the one you intend to use.

Side Panel Home State

After login, the side panel serves as the main extension workspace.

From the side panel, users can typically:

  • confirm the active organization
  • start a contextual AI chat
  • review notifications or workflow activity
  • work with page context from supported marketplace pages

The side panel is the primary place to interact with Suger in Chrome while staying on the current browser page.

How to Use It

  1. Navigate to a supported marketplace page or the Suger Console.
  2. Open the Suger side panel from the extension icon.
  3. Sign in if needed, then select the correct Suger organization.
  4. Ask a question about the current page, offer, product, entitlement, or marketplace workflow.
  5. Review suggested actions or workflow steps before approving them.

Supported Pages

The extension is intended to work on supported pages such as:

  • AWS Marketplace
  • AWS Marketplace Management Portal
  • Azure Marketplace
  • Microsoft partner marketplace surfaces
  • Google Cloud Marketplace
  • Suger Console

Coverage may vary by page type and workflow.

Permissions

The extension requests browser permissions needed to power the side panel experience and supported workflows.

These permissions are used for capabilities such as:

  • opening and operating the side panel
  • reading supported page context
  • storing local extension state
  • authenticating the current user
  • showing contextual actions and notifications
  • enabling user-approved browser automation flows

Some permissions are only exercised when a related feature is used.

Security and Privacy

  • The extension is intended for authorized Suger users.
  • Browser-assisted actions should always be reviewed by the user before approval.
  • Sensitive workflows may require additional user confirmation.
  • Removing the extension from Chrome stops future extension activity, but it does not revoke any external account access already granted through third-party OAuth flows. Revoke those permissions directly in the third-party provider if needed.

Troubleshooting

If the extension is not working as expected:

  • make sure you are signed in to Suger
  • confirm you selected the correct Suger organization
  • refresh the current page and reopen the side panel
  • confirm you are on a supported page
  • update the extension to the latest version
  • remove and reinstall the extension if the local state appears stale

If the issue continues, contact the Suger support team.
