Take Deal Registrations Through a Public Link
Give partners one public link where they can register a deal with you, with no Suger account and no sign-in. Share it directly or embed it on your own site, choose who may submit, and review every registration in Partner Co-Sells.
Overview
The deal registration link is a public page, branded with your company, where anyone who has the link can register a deal with you. You decide who may use it:
- Any company — your partners, and companies that aren’t partners yet. A company Suger doesn’t recognize can still register a deal, and you review the company and the deal together.
- Connected partners only — only companies already connected to you as partners. Anyone else is asked to apply to your partner program first.
Every registration that goes through arrives in Partners → Partner Co-Sells as an Inbound co-sell. What else Suger sets up depends on who submitted it — see What Happens to a Submission.
Before You Start
- Partner co-sell must be enabled for your organization. The Co-Sell tab under Settings → Partner only appears when it is.
- Set your portal slug first. The link is built from it, and until one is saved the card asks you to set up your partner portal URL. The slug is set under Settings → Partner → Login Page. See Choose your portal slug.
- You need an Admin or Editor role to change these settings. See Account.
Turn On the Link
- Go to Suger Console, then Settings.
- Click Partner, then Co-Sell.
- On the Deal registration link card at the top of the tab, switch the toggle on. The rest of the card appears.
- Under Who can submit, choose Any company or Connected partners only. See Choose Who Can Submit.
- Optionally, list the sites that may embed the form under Allowed embed domains. See Embed the Form on Your Site.
- Click Save. Suger confirms with “Deal registration link settings saved.”
One Save covers the whole card. It saves only this card’s settings, so it never changes anything else on the Co-Sell tab, such as auto-accept.
Share Your Link
With the toggle on, Your link shows the address partners use:
https://www.suger.io/deal-registration/{your-portal-slug}
- Copy link copies it, ready for an email or your partner page.
- Copy embed code copies a ready-to-paste snippet for your website.
- Preview opens the live form in a new tab.
You can’t edit the link here. It’s built from your organization’s portal slug, the same one your partner portal and branded login page use. Changing the slug changes all of those links at once, and every link you’ve already shared stops working, which is why Suger asks you to confirm a slug change before saving it.
Embed the Form on Your Site
The embed code places the form in an <iframe> that resizes to fit its content. It only loads on sites you allow:
- Under Allowed embed domains, enter each site that may embed the form, one per line, for example
https://partners.example.com. A bare host such aspartners.example.comis saved ashttps://partners.example.com, and a leading*.allows every subdomain. - Click Save. If an entry isn’t a plain site address, Suger names it (“Invalid embed domain(s): …”) and saves nothing.
- Paste the snippet from Copy embed code into your page.
Leave the list empty to block embedding. The direct link keeps working either way.
Choose Who Can Submit
| Option | A connected partner | A company that isn’t connected |
|---|---|---|
| Any company (the default) | The deal goes straight to you for review. | Can still submit. Suger holds the deal so you can review the company and the deal together. |
| Connected partners only | The deal goes straight to you for review. | Is told they aren’t connected yet and sees no deal form, only a button to apply to your partner program. |
What counts as connected. Suger takes the domain of the submitter’s work email and looks for your partner with that domain. The company counts as connected only when that partner is:
- Active — a company you invited that hasn’t accepted yet, or one Suger only suggested, doesn’t count;
- a linked Suger organization; and
- the only partner record with that domain. If two of your partner records share it, Suger doesn’t guess, and treats the submitter as not connected.
The form checks this as soon as the submitter enters their work email, and tells them what will happen to their deal before they fill anything else in.
Under Connected partners only, the Apply to be a partner button opens your default application form. See Choose Your Default Application Form.
What Happens to a Submission
| Submission | What Suger does | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| From a connected partner | Registers the deal as if the partner had created it in their own portal. | An Inbound co-sell in Partner Co-Sells, Pending Acceptance — unless your auto-accept settings accept it for you. |
| From a company that isn’t connected, under Any company | Holds the deal. If you already have a partner record for the company, Suger uses it and leaves it as it is. Otherwise it creates a PENDING one, names it after the email domain (acme.com becomes Acme), and makes the submitter its champion contact. It also raises an application for the company. | The same Inbound co-sell, Pending Acceptance, and a Pending application under Partners → Applications. |
| From a company that isn’t connected, under Connected partners only | Refuses it. Nothing is created. | Nothing. |
| From an email on your own company’s domain | Refuses it, because a deal registered with yourself has no partner side. | Nothing. |
| While the link is switched off | Refuses it. The link shows a closed notice with your branding instead of the form. | Nothing. |
One application per company, not one per deal. As long as a company has a pending or approved application, further deals from it are held against that application instead of raising another. Only when it has none — for example, after you’ve declined its only one — does its next deal raise a fresh application.
Decide a Held Registration
You decide a held deal in Partner Co-Sells, like any inbound deal. See Respond to an Inbound Deal. What each decision does is different, because the company isn’t your partner yet:
| You | What happens |
|---|---|
| Accept & Complete the co-sell | The company becomes your partner. Suger links the company’s Suger organization, or creates one, makes the partnership active, and gives the partner their own copy of the deal, carrying the commission terms you set when accepting. It also marks the company’s application Accepted — even if you had already declined it or it had expired. When Suger has to create the organization, the partner record’s champion contact becomes its admin; on a record the submission created, that’s the person who submitted the deal. |
| Reject the co-sell | Only the deal is rejected. The company’s application and its partner record stay as they are, so you can still take the company on as a partner. |
| Approve or decline the application | Settles the application the way it settles any application. See Review Partner Applications. The co-sell stays in Partner Co-Sells, waiting for you to accept or reject it. |
Emails
When a submission raises a new application, the two emails a sign-up form submission sends can go out: Partner application received, to your team, and Partner application confirmation (to applicant), to the person who submitted. Whether each is sent is controlled under Settings → Notification. See Email Notification.
Pause the Link
Switch the toggle off and click Save to stop taking registrations. The address keeps working: anyone who opens it sees a notice, with your branding, that you aren’t taking deal registrations through this link right now. Links you’ve already shared don’t break, and switching the toggle back on reopens them.
