Notion
Overview
Notion is a workspace for notes, docs, wikis, and databases. Connect Notion to Suger so the Suger AI agent can read and manage your Notion pages, databases, and blocks.
Org-Level vs User-Level
Org-Level: Organization-wide access via a Notion internal integration token (shown as “Notion (API Key)”). Shared across your organization.
User-Level: Personal Notion access per user via OAuth. Each user connects their own workspace.
Create Integration (Org-Level)
Prerequisites
- A Notion internal integration and its Internal Integration Token (create at notion.so/my-integrations)
- The Notion pages or databases you want Suger to access must be shared with that integration
Authenticate by API Key
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations
- Click Connect Notion
- Enter your Notion Internal Integration Token
- Save, then click Verify to confirm the connection
Create User Integration
- Click
Connect Nowbutton in the User Integrations section - You will be redirected to Notion to authorize
- Grant access to your Notion workspace
- Return to Suger to confirm connection
Suger AI Tools
When Notion is connected, the Suger AI agent can read and manage your Notion workspace through Suger’s built-in tools (45 actions). Capabilities are grouped below.
Org-level and user-level: Both are supported; user-level takes precedence when both are connected.
| Capability | What the agent can do |
|---|---|
| Pages | Create, read, update, duplicate, move, and archive pages, including markdown export (e.g. create-page, get-page-as-markdown, archive-page) |
| Databases | Create, retrieve, and update databases and their schema (e.g. create-database, update-database, search-databases) |
| Database queries | Run filtered, sorted, and paginated queries (e.g. query-database, query-database-filtered, query-database-sorted) |
| Blocks | Manage page blocks and append typed content — headings, to-dos, callouts, code (e.g. append-block-children, update-block, append-todo-block) |
| Comments | Create and read comment threads on pages and blocks (e.g. create-comment, list-comments) |
| Search & users | Search across the workspace and look up users (e.g. search, list-users, get-account) |
