Datadog

Overview

Datadog is a monitoring and observability platform for infrastructure, application performance, logs, and security. Connect Datadog to Suger so the Suger AI agent can verify your Datadog account and manage Datadog users (provision and disable) as part of your operations workflows.

Org-Level vs User-Level

Org-Level: Organization-wide Datadog access via an API key and application key. All users in the organization share the same Datadog connection.

User-Level: Personal Datadog access per user via an API key and application key. Each user connects their own Datadog credentials.

Create Integration (Org-Level)

Prerequisites

  • Datadog account with API access
  • Datadog API key and Application Key

Authenticate

  1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click “Connect Datadog”
  3. Enter your Datadog API Key and Application Key
  4. Select the Datadog site (US, EU, or other)
  5. Click Verify to test the connection
  6. Upon successful verification, the integration status is updated to verified

Create User Integration

Use user-level integration when you want to connect your personal Datadog account.

  1. Click Connect Now button in the User Integrations section
  2. Enter your Datadog API Key and Application Key
  3. Select your Datadog site (US1, US3, US5, EU1, or AP1)
  4. Submit to confirm the connection

Suger AI Tools

When Datadog is connected, the Suger AI agent can manage Datadog through Suger’s built-in tools. This is a focused integration with three actions.

Org-level and user-level: Both are supported; user-level takes precedence when both are connected.

Edit Integration

Editing not supported. Delete and recreate.

Delete Integration

Deleting removes the integration and revokes the stored Datadog credentials from Suger.
