# Fireworks AI

Connect your Fireworks AI API key to run Suger's AI features on the models Fireworks serves.

## Overview

Fireworks AI is an AI model provider (category: AI). By connecting your own Fireworks AI API key (bring-your-own-key), the models Fireworks offers become selectable in Suger's model picker — for Insulin agents, chat, inference, and knowledge-base embeddings. API usage is billed directly by Fireworks to your account; Suger does not charge for these models.

### Org-Level vs User-Level

- **Org-Level**: the key is shared across your organization. Its models are available to organization-level agents and to members of the org. Connecting requires an organization admin.
- **User-Level**: the key is personal to your workspace. Its models are available to your own user-level agents and personal Insulin.

## Create Integration

1. Navigate to the [Suger Console Integrations](https://console.suger.io/settings?tab=integrations) page.
2. Find the **Fireworks AI** integration and click **Connect**.
3. Choose the level — **Organization** (shared) or **User** (personal).
4. Paste your **Fireworks AI API Key** and click **Save credentials**.

Suger verifies the key with Fireworks before storing it, so an invalid key is rejected at connect time rather than surfacing later as a failed model run.

After connecting, open any model picker — an agent's **Default Model**, or **Insulin model settings** — and Fireworks AI's models appear, with verified models grouped first and each entry attributed to Fireworks AI.

## Edit Integration

Editing the API key is not supported. To change the key, delete the integration and create a new one.

## Delete Integration

You can delete the Fireworks AI integration at any time. This permanently removes the stored credential. Any agent pinned to a Fireworks AI model then shows that model as **unavailable** with a reconnect prompt until you reconnect Fireworks AI or pick another model — Suger never silently substitutes a different model.
